Four people accused of being involved in stealing $42 million from a Guardsman armoured truck in downtown Kingston in January, were remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magist-rate's Court yesterday. The four, Dwayne Satchell, Tamara Kellerman, Errol Cameron and Clifton Kerr, all from the Corporate Area, are charged with simply larceny and conspiracy. Allegations are that Cameron, who was employed to Guardsman as a truck driver, went downtown with three security guards on January 15 to conduct daily operations. During the course of duties, it is alleged that the three security guards exited the vehicle, leaving Cameron in charge. However, when they returned, $42 million was missing from the truck. The company was alerted and the police later called in. Following investigations, the four were held and charged. They return to court on March 18. |
