The police are expected to lay charges against another suspect in connection with the multi-million dollar robbery at Guardsman Limited in January. The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, was reportedly pointed out during an identification parade on Monday and will bring to four the number of people charged in the case. Investigators say a fifth suspect is in custody also awaiting an ID parade. The suspects were picked up by the police following investigations into the theft of $44 million from a Guardsman armoured truck on January 14. Last month, three men including a security guard employed to the company appeared in court on charges of conspiracy and larceny. THE WEEKEND STAR learnt that $9.5 million of the missing money has so far been recovered in addition to the seizure of three motor cars, jewellery, expensive clothing, stoves, microwaves and two component sets, said to be purchased with the stolen money. |
