Sophia Brown's steamy video Gimme That Good Love has since late last week been featured on the entertainment website FrontPageHipHop.com that boasts that it has the largest number of hip hop music videos on the Internet.

It also works as a video-news aggregate and submission site dedicated to helping artistes promote their material. Several mega-stars including Jay-Z, Beyonce, Lil' Wayne, 50 Cent and many others have their videos on the site. They were joined late last week by Sophia Brown's latest video.

seeking permission

The singer said she got a call late last week from a representative of the website seeking permission from her for the video to be played on the site and by the time she checked the video was already up. "I really don't know how they heard about the video. All I know is that I got a request to put the video on their front page," she said.

However, she was pleased that the video was on the site and getting as many hits as those from more celebrated entertainers. "Knowing that I am a reggae artiste and getting my music beside these big stars is great," she said. "All I am doing is counting my blessings and growing from strength to strength."

Brown, who was nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year at the EME Awards, is set to leave the island shortly for a tour of California to promote her album The Spotlight and Gimme That Good Love. She expects to be away for a few weeks as she will be performing at several venues across the American west coast, exposing her talents to the market there.

She had been initially set to tour with rapper Scarface but he has been replaced by rapper E40, who will be releasing two new albums next month. E40 is from California and is a member of the Bay Area rap group, the Click. He is also the founder of Sick Wid It Records.
