Two men of Mannings Hill Road addresses in St Andrew last evening became the latest statistics to be added to the country's mounting murder tally after they were gunned down at a bar in the area last night.

The deceased men have since been identified as 40-year-old Robert Bailey and 38-year-old Ricardo Richards.

Police reports reaching THE STAR are that around 6:30 p.m. yesterday, the two men were sitting in a bar at 55 Mannings Hill Road when a gunman entered the premises and opened fire, hitting them. Both men died and the killer escaped.

Investigators say that a motive for the killing is yet to be ascertained.

The St Andrew North police are investigating.
