An 18-year-old man was remanded in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court yesterday for using an ice prick to stab a man. The accused man, identified as Nigel Williams of a Corporate Area address, was charged with wounding with intent. Allegations are the accused man was at the entrance to a meat shop attempting to assist customers with their purchases. The complainant, who was not satisfied with the accused man's loitering asked him to go elsewhere. It is alleged that Williams did not seem pleased with the complainant's request and used an ice prick to stab him in the arm. The injured man was taken to the hospital and the accused man subdued by persons who turned him over to the police. Williams will return to court on November 30 for the matter to be mentioned. |
