Hinds gets Deputy Commissioner post |

|
The Police Service Commission (PSC) yesterday approved Assistant Commissioner of Police, Glenmore Hinds as the Deputy Commissioner of Police in charge of the Operations Portfolio. ACP Hinds will act as Deputy Commissioner to Owen Ellington, who was recently appointed as acting Commissioner of Police. Ellington was in charge of the Operations Portfolio prior to his new appointment as Commissioner of Police. In a release issued yesterday, Acting Commissioner Ellington said of ACP Hinds' appointment, "Glenmore Hinds represents the very best in the Constabulary. His experience in almost all of the functional areas of operations, crime and intelligence supplies the knowledge and understanding necessary for him to perform in his new position. I am happy to welcome him and I am sure the country will benefit." Hinds' appointment as Deputy Commissioner of Police, took effect from Saturday, November 7, 2009. |
