Cop resigns after ganja find |

Rasbert Turner, Star Writer A policeman who was reportedly held with 300 pounds of ganja in Clarendon on Sunday has resigned from the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) but was charged on Thursday. Roxroy Hall, 24, formerly of Mobile Reserve has been charged with possession, dealing, taking steps to export and trafficking ganja, after he was questioned in presence of his attorney. Hall, who hails from Aenon Town in Clarendon, was held along the Clarendon Park main road on Sunday about 2 p.m. by a joint police team consisting of personnel from Clarendon and Operation Kingfish. At the time The Star was told that in addition to being charged with breaches of the Dangerous Drug Act, Hall could face Corruption charges. However it is understood that since Hall has resigned from the JCF he was not charged under the Corruption Prevention Act. |
