Additional murder charges for Bog Walk man

Linton Dryden a 31-year-old labourer of Bog Walk, St Catherine, who is facing five counts of murder had two additional murder charges placed on him last Saturday.

According to Detective Sergeant Leroy Guy of the Bog Walk Police, Dryden was slapped with the two additional counts stemming from an incident in 2005.

"He has been charged with the murder of a mother and her daughter who was shot and killed in Top Mountain District in 2005 after their doors were kicked off," Guy told THE STAR.

It is alleged that in June 2005 Elaine Kane, and her daughter Christine Chin were at home when the accused went there and shot and killed both women.

Dryden is currently before the Gun Court for the killing of five men in Swamp Lane Bog Walk, St Catherine in March 2007.

The police said the men were gambling at a shop about 2 a.m. on the day in question when Dryden along with his cronies, came held the men at gunpoint and shot them execution style.

He was later held in connection with the killings. However, he later escaped from the Kingston Public Hospital and was recaptured in August this year.
