She said on the day in question, the accused refused to take one of their children to school and she complained to her mother. She said the accused began to behave disrespectfully towards her mother and a fuss began. She told the court that the accused used a shovel to hit her and she fell to the ground with a child in her hand. She also told the court that it was not the first time the accused man abused her. She said she was tired of it. The accused man however said he was provoked by the complainant. He said that every time he has been in trouble, the complainant was the cause of it.
