A ghastly accident along the Whitehouse main road in Westmoreland yesterday end one man's birthday celebration while allegedly decapitating another, causing a massive traffic build-up on that thoroughfare.

Information reaching THE STAR is that sometime after 5:30 p.m., a blue Lexus (Altezza) was travelling from the Farm district direction towards Whitehouse when the driver lost control and hit a coaster bus before colliding with a white delivery truck. Police said that all three men in the car died on the spot.

One witness described the accident as nothing he has ever seen. "The car is crumbled beyond recognition believe me one of the men in the car, his head got chopped off to how the accident bad. This is the worse," the man said. "I saw it from the beginning, Mackie (the driver) drove passed the bar and as he looked across his eyes and mine made 'four' then the car was like something from Tokyo Drift. It just drifted into the truck."

The witness said the driver hit a bad section of the road after the speeding car developed a skid. The vehicle then turned sideways and hit a coaster bus before drifting full force into the slowly moving truck. No one in the truck or bus was hurt.

One of the dead man is only known by the alias 'Mackie'. The others were not identified.

Information reaching THE STAR is that yesterday was Mackie's birthday and he and some friends had started an early celebration. One resident said that just before the accident, preparations for a fish fry in recognition of his birthday were well underway.

Attempts to get further details from the Whitehouse police were unsuccessful as investigators were still at the accident scene. The policeman could only relate that initial information is that the men were pinned in the car. He could not confirm if any was decapitated as the resident had said earlier.
