Man dies from crash injuries

A 45-year-old man who was admitted in hospital after he sustained injuries in a vehicular collision on the Harmony Hall main road, Trelawny, on Sunday, June 28, succumbed to his injuries on Tuesday. Five other people were injured in the accident.

Dead is Lenroy Thompson of Pine Avenue, Ebony Vale, while injured are 59-year-old Everet Chambers of McFarlane Meadows, Spanish Town; Milton Hamilton, 41, his wife Mitsy and two children, Gabrielle and Joshua of Greater Portmore, all in St Catherine.

Reports from the Constabulary Commnunication Net-work's (CCN) Liaison Officer for Trelawny are that about 4:00 p.m., Chambers was driving a Toyota Mark 2 motor car along the Harmony Hall main road towards Rio Bueno with Thompson aboard.

On reaching a section of the roadway the vehicle crashed into a grey Honda CRV motor car which was driven by Hamilton with his wife and children aboard. The six sustained multiple injuries and were taken to Falmouth Hospital. Thompson was later transferred to the Cornwall Regional Hospital.

He succumbed to his injuries about 8:00 a.m. Tuesday. The Duncans Police are investigating.
