Man killed over oranges

One of a group of men who was reportedly stealing oranges from a farm in Hanover on Friday was fatally shot after he allegedly attacked a member of a police team.

The unidentified man is believed to be in his late 20s. He is of dark complexion and about five feet and eight inches tall.

According to reports, a police team received information that a group of men was seen stealing oranges from a farm in Montpelier, in Hanover.

On arrival of the lawmen, the men reportedly ran in separate directions.

One of the men reportedly hid behind a tree and chopped at one of the policemen when he was caught.

The policeman shot his attacker who was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
