STAR: How did you get started in the business?

Pamputae: I did a song wid Matterhorn called Goodas Fi Dem and that's how I really got started. Before that, people used to know me as Buju Fabulous, but after that people know me as Pamputae.

STAR: What has been your greatest challenge in the business yet?

Pamputae: A whole heap of likkle challenges. Some of di producers make it seem like is a bull ting, like a only man dem pon di riddims and mi hear dem and mi think boy mi coulda mash up dat riddim cause mi bad like dat to.

STAR: What have you been up to lately?

Pamputae: Right now mi have a song out called Straight Gal Pat and I have a video coming out for it.

STAR: Do you look up to any specific artiste and why?

Pamputae: Yuh done know, long before my name was even Pamputae mi look up to Lady Saw and Sizzla. When mi waan get a likkle raw mi put in a Lady Saw and when mi want a calm side mi put in a Sizzla and hold a meds.

STAR: Are you happy with the way things are going for your musical career right now?

Pamputae: Some things mi happy about but yuh know a mi perform and a work and di people dem love mi and dem know seh mi a slang queen.

STAR: Do you have any advice for young artistes coming up?

Pamputae: Younger artistes mus stay focused and be yourself and don't tek no bribes. Dere are whole heap of obstacles in your way cause di business hard. But stay focused and know seh all clashes can build and bruk yuh.

STAR: Where do you see yourself in the future?

Pamputae: Mi see myself far, cause right now all international artistes waan work wid me. Mi all get a call from MIA who seh she love one of my daggering songs dem and waan work wid me, so mi all see myself on the Billboards.
