The main suspect in the killing of the special constable whose body was found slumped around his steering wheel at the intersection of Flinch Crescent and Woodpecker Avenue yesterday, has turned himself in.
The man, whose name has not been released, turned himself in to the police late yesterday evening. He is to be interviewed by detectives from the Major Investigation Taskforce.

The 34-year-old constable, who served the Island Special Constabulary for little over nine years, is the first to be killed since the start of the year.
Reports are that about 12:20 p.m., police received reports of explosions along Woodpecker Avenue. They went to the area and saw a Honda motor car crashed into a perimeter wall at Finch Crescent. The car was on fire. Special Constable Hamilton was seen slumped over the steering wheel. The fire department was called and one unit from the Half-Way-Tree Fire Department extinguished the blaze. Close inspection of the body by investigators revealed that Constable Hamilton had been shot several times. The crime scene was processed and his body removed to the morgue for post mortem.
Acting upon information, investigators went to Henderson Avenue in Kingston 11 where the loaded service revolver of the slain policeman was found at a premises.
