The Editor, Sir:
Burning Spear in one of his songs stated: "No one remember old Marcus Garvey, they keep talking about George William Gordon, Norman Washington Manley and Alexander Bustamante, but no one remember old Marcus Garvey."
Well, I want to give kudos to Mutabaruka for declaring, on the Cutting Ege show, that he is recognising the month of August as Marcus Garvey's month as of 2008. I want to say that I second this motion 100 per cent.
Here is a narrative from Marcus Garvey, "Name me the god who created the black man inferior and intended that he must be a servant class, drawer of water and hauler of wood, I condemn that doctrine of men."
