St Ann's Bay Police catch Supreme Venture outlet robbers

Quick action by the St Ann's Bay Police resulted in the apprehension of two men who robbed a Supreme Ventures outlet at Market Street, St Ann's Bay on Wednesday evening.

The names of the men have been withheld pending further investigations.

Reports from the Constabulary Communication Network are that about 6:20 p.m., both men went to the Supreme Ventures outlet, where one of them pulled a handgun and demanded money from the cashier.

After initially resisting the robbery attempt, the cashier put just under $24,000 in a bag and gave it to the men. The police, who were alerted, responded in time to apprehend the men before they left the premises. The money and a .38 revolver loaded with four .38 cartridges were taken from them.

Detectives from the St. Ann's Bay Criminal Investigation Branch are investigating.
