Ity and Fancy Cat for Shaggy and Friends

Ity and Fancy Cat. - contributed

It's official! Ity & Fancy Cat have been added to the list of entertainers throwing their support behind the philanthropic efforts of international megastar, Shaggy. The comic twosome will have the pleasant task of increasing the variety and injecting levity into the historic 'Shaggy & Friends' show scheduled for tomorrow January 3.

Noted for their ability to adapt and customise their comedic material and delivery to suit the tastes and sensibilities of a variety of audiences, the comedians have been kept busy with a hectic local and international schedule over the Christmas season.

Naturally, they're extremely pleased about being added to the stellar line-up for the charity event. "No question about it. I was elated when Sharon Burke called to invite us to perform on the event," said 'Ity'. "We're proud, not just for the obvious joy of this opportunity to share the stage with many big names, but also for the privilege of being able to contribute our time and talent to a very worthy cause."

Their performance on this benefit show for the Bustamante Hospital for Children will kick-start what looks to be a promising 2009 for Ity & Fancy Cat. They're also booked to host the 12th annual DC Reggae Awards, a two day musical tribute to Bob Marley & Dennis Brown scheduled for Washington DC in February, and they've already started pre-production work on the second season of their 'Ity & Fancy Cat TV show' which will be aired early in the new year.
