Woman's body found in shallow grave

The decomposing body of a woman was found in a shallow grave at Dampie district, May Pen, Clarendon, on Monday morning.

The body has been identified as that of Marcia James, 20, of Dampie district.

Reports from the Constabulary Communication Network are that about 9 a.m., residents discovered the body in a shallow grave and called the police. An on-the-spot post-mortem by the government pathologist revealed that death was caused by multiple stab wounds and lacerations to the neck. The May Pen CIB is investigating.
