Man hit by bus, dies

An unidentified man died after he was hit by a bus on the Gordon Hall main road, Annotto Bay, St Mary, yesterday morning.

The dead man, believed to be between 45 and 50 years old, is of dark complexion about 170 centimetres tall and was dressed in dark coloured clothing.

Reports from the Constabulary Communicaion Network's liaison officer for St Mary are that about 12:30 a.m., a white Toyota Hiace bus was travelling along the Gordon Hall main road. On reaching the intersection of Epsom road, the man reportedly stepped into the path of the vehicle and was hit. He sustained multiple injuries and was taken to the Annotto Bay Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
