A driver who was charged with causing death by dangerous driving after four people were killed in an accident was freed in the Spanish Town Resident Magistrate's Court on Monday.
Troy White of Point Hill, St Catherine, walked away from the court after the Crown agreed that the case was lacking evidence on which to go forward, and as such it was dismissed for want of prosecution.

White, who was represented by attorney-at-law Lancelot Clarke Jr, was charged with the deaths of Inez Cameron, a vendor; Coleen White, Lorraine Thomas and Dinthill Technical High School student Sashay Wilson, all from Point Hill.
The Crown led evidence that about 6:30 p.m. on September 25 last year, Cameron, White, Wilson and Thomas were occupants in a Toyota motor car travelling towards Point Hill when upon reaching a section of the road in Kitson Town, a Toyota Hilux driven by White collided with the vehicle.
He was later charged with causing death by dangerous driving by Sergeant Osbourne Fearon of the St Catherine North Traffic Department. White maintained his innocence throughout the many appearances in court. He was freed by Senior Resident Magistrate for St Catherine Lorna Errar.
