Words thrown at GT Extravaganza

The Magnum girls give eye-dazzling moves onstage at Magnum GT Extravaganza, held at Independence Park, Black River, in St Elizabeth on Thursday, December 25.

It took Ninja Man's humour and Beenie Man's hit songs to bring life to a seemingly dull crowd at Magnum GT Christmas Extravaganza, which was held at Independence Park, Black River, Christmas day.

Ninja Man went on-stage before dawn attacking Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer and Beenie Man, but also asking, "Weh Merciless deh?" He also referred to Merciless as "wutliss" and a 'Heineken Startime artiste'.

He said he would not clash with Mavado. "Dem man (Mavado) deh love dem mother and dem love God but dem caan fire shot," he shouted before inviting his daughter, Mumselle, to join the attack.

Ninja Man cursed everybody possible including some of the patrons. "Kartel, Beenie and Bounty come out yah, mi nah move," Ninja Man said as he sat on one of the speakers.

During his antics the police came to lock off the show at 6 a.m. When Ninja Man left the stage to move in the direction that Beenie Man was standing in, a tussle ensued between Ninja Man and members of Beenie Man's entourage. As a result, Beenie Man was escorted on-stage by his entourage and the police.

Despite the incident and the many insults Ninja Man hurled at him, Beenie Man said, "Ninja Man a mi bredrin, mi love him to mi heart."

And when he started his performance, the crowd was in frenzy.

At surface level, it seemed as if Beenie Man had no intentions of clashing at Sting despite the fact that it was earlier announced that he would clash with Bounty Killer at the event.

"Mi caan pay Ninja Man nuh mind, him nuh have nutten fi lose and him nuh have nutten fi gain. Bounty nuh have nutten fi lose or gain either," said Beenie Man.

Before Beenie Man and Ninja Man, there were noteworthy performances from the likes of Duane Stephenson, Tarrus Riley, I Octane, Harry Toddler, Jah Mason, Chuck Fenda and Charly Black.

child molesters

Tarrus Riley, especially, made the women scream as he sang his many hits including Beware and Start Anew. He also invited saxophonist Dean Fraser to join him to see who would outshine the other on the stage with their abilities.

Charly Black put the women in a 'bubbling' mood before D'Angel told the people to be Stronger.

Spice was able to get a response from crowd with her raunchy lyrics. But she also sang a melodious tune lashing out against child molesters. She also insulted Macka Diamond. The highlight of her performance was when she sang the much anticipated Rampin Shop collaboration with Vybz Kartel.

After her exit, there was another of many band changes for the night to welcome Bugle but the crowd still seemed stiff. The people seemed a bit livelier when Mavado did his seven-minute performance. His set was rather tense with him asking people if they wanted to see a funeral Sting.

Aidonia then came and delivered his many fast rhymes, and after him, there was a chorale behind Assassin as he sang Guide and Protect Me. Einstein also got his opportunity to work the stage at the request of Assassin. He was followed by Anthony B with a strong set.

Though they were mentioned throughout the night, Bounty Killer and Vybz Kartel did not perform as expected.
