Andre Dwyer and Jason Dixon
Bowlers dominated yesterday's opening day of the third Jamaica Cricket Association (JCA) trial match at Sabina Park.
Electing to bat, Tamar Lambert's XI were skittled out for 145.
They found themselves in early trouble at nine for two when pacer Ricardo D'Acres had Danza Hyatt (four) caught behind and Brenton Parchment removed Donovan Pagon for no score.
West Indies Under-19 player Horace Miller, 43, and Yanick Elliott, 25, revived the innings with a 66-run stand, but when both, along with Nkrumah Bonner (zero), fell with the score on 75, it was always going to be difficult to recover.
Keith Hibbert and Jamie Trenchfield, 24 each, chipped in with useful scores but D'Acres, who removed the latter, ran through the tail to finish with four for 20.
Left-arm spinner Andre Dwyer, D'Acres' teammate at St Ann, supported well with three for 55 and Bevon Brown, two for 35.
In reply, Jason Dawes, another West Indies youth player, had Brenton Parchment's XI reeling on 33 for five at the close.
Dawes removed Parchment (six), Lorenzo Ingram (zero) and Andre McCarthy (five).
Elliott and leg-spinner Gavin Wallace took the other wickets.
The Jamaica squad is preparing for the regional four-day first class competition, which will be played on a home-and-away format, starting next month.
