Three held with illegal ammunition

Police arrested three persons yesterday and charged them with breaches of the Firearms Act, during an operation in Hamilton Mountain, Oracabessa, St Mary.

Charged with illegal possession of ammunition are Michael Marshall, 23, Andrew Harrison, 25, and Saneka Dennis, 24. The three were charged by the Area 2 Operation Support Team after 11 rounds of ammunition were found at their home in the rural district.

Information received from the Constabulary Communication Network's liaison officer for St Mary is that between the hours of 6:45 a.m and 8 a.m., the police team carried out an operation at Hamilton Mountain.

During the exercise, the CCN said a house, which was occupied by the three, was searched and the ammunition found. The three were subsequently arrested and charged and are booked to appear in the Port Maria Resident Magistrate's Court on December 22.
