'Cabbie thief' for court in January

A 'taxi driver' is to stand trial on January 9 after being charged with robbery with aggravation following an incident along Maxfield Avenue, Kingston, recently.

Donovan Keen is accused of picking up two passengers along Maxfield Avenue on the day of the incident and robbing them. It is alleged that shortly after picking up the passengers, the driver turned off route, stopped the car and brandished a knife, demanding the passengers' money and valuables. Another man, who had been posing as a passenger in the car also assisted in the robbery.

A report was made and the police went to a location where they apprehended Keen and recovered the items that were taken from the passengers.
