Man killed by straddle carrier

A 31-year-old man was killed in a freak accident at APM Terminal, Port Bustamante, Newport West, Kingston 13, on Tuesday night.

Dead is Dafton Hall of Top Road, Mavis Bank, St Andrew.

Reports received by the Constabulary Communication Network are that at 11:20 p.m., Hall was operating a straddle carrier along Gordon Cay, Port Bustamante. On reaching the intersection at South West Berth, he lost control of the machine which overturned and fell on top of him. He sustained multiple injuries and was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
