Broughton of Westmore-land and South Star of Manchester will clash on Sunday at Alpart Sports Club in St Elizabeth for the title of national community Twenty20 cricket champions.
The final of the Social Development Commission's (SDC) National Community Cricket competition will get under way at 1:30 p.m. between the two unbeaten teams.
Broughton are reaching the final for the second time. In 2006 they were runners-up. This is South Star's first appearance in the grand final of the competition.
The third place play-off will see Summer Hill of St. Ann and Yallahs of St. Thomas going head to head for the consolation prize of $30,000. That match is scheduled for a 9:30 a.m. start.
The dethroned champions, Lititz/Comma Pen, were knocked out of the competition before the parish finals. They will be involved in a High Five (5 overs) exhibition match with the UTech All Stars team beginning at 8:30 a.m.
The national community cricket champions will take home $150,000, while the second place team will walk away with $75,000 and the third place team, $30,000.
