'Bully' yet to be sentenced after guilty plea

Ricardo 'Bully' Thomas, the reputed leader of the notorious Bully gang, thought to be responsible for several crimes in Cockburn Gardens, Kingston 11, is yet to be sentenced, though it has been over a month since he pleaded guilty to several charges.

Thomas, who, it is believed, is involved in a major feud with the leader of a rival gang, was arrested on October 18 at his home along Charlemont Avenue, Kingston 6. It is believed that this feud is the root of at least 60 murders in the area and adjoining communities over the last 18 months. Two 9-mm pistols with 49 rounds of ammunition were seized.

Thomas was taken to the Corporate Area Gun Court on October 30, where he pleaded guilty to illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. Since then, he has been to court on several occasions, the last being yesterday, when he was remanded.

His matter is to be mentioned again on Wednesday.
