Lady G is not dead

Reports circulating that dancehall artiste Lady G has been shot and killed are false, her family says.

Her brother, Pancho, who works on her production team, told THE STAR that the artiste was abroad spending some early days of the Christmas season with her mother. "No, she has not been shot. She is alive and well and is abroad spending a early Christmas with her mom. She will be back on Wednesday," he said.

He said when THE STAR contacted him was the first time he was hearing of the rumours and that if something had happened to her while she was overseas, he would have been told. He said he has not received any such report. He also said he had spoken to her son yesterday and he said nothing of anything happening to his mother.

The artiste, whose real name is Janice Fyffe, is scheduled to perform on a number of shows this Christmas season, including Sting. It is because of her performances later this season, why she has gone abroad to spend some days with her family.
