The Sligoville police are trying to determine who or what caused the death of a 60-year-old man whose decomposing body was found at his home in Gravel Hill district, St Catherine on Wednesday.

The dead man has been identified as Michael Ahwee.

Police reports are that about 7:50 p.m. neighbours went to investigate after smelling a foul odour coming from Ahwee's home. The decomposing body was discovered in the house with a piece of rope tied around the neck.

The hands and feet were also bound with rope. The police were called and the body removed to the morgue for post-mortem.
