I am a man tortured by feelings of guilt. I want to live a clean life but love to have regular sex. I am constantly walking around looking for women who are willing to have sex with me.

What must I do, Pastor?

Dear A.D.,

Stop having sex with indiscriminate women. Find one woman and develop a lasting relationship with her. You are having casual sex all the time. You may become infected with a sexually transmitted infection or worse, HIV/AIDS.

Learn to control your sexual urges. You will not die if you do not have sex. It seems to me that you are a sex addict who needs professional help. May I further suggest that you seek the help of a sex therapist. There are those who offer counselling to persons who are sex addicts. Perhaps you need to begin by discussing your problem with a family counsellor, who would assist you in getting the type of professional help that you need.
