Petrojam fire remains a mystery

The fire department is trying to determine the cause of a fire that occurred at Petrojam on Marcus Garvey Drive, St Andrew yesterday.

The fire brigade was called to the scene about 3 p.m., after a fire developed at one of the cooling towers for an ethanol plant on the property.

Emeleo Ebanks, public relations officer for the Jamaica Brigade said the fire was extinguished and investigators from the fire prevention unit were now trying to determine what had caused it.

Nine units from the fire stations in the Corporate Area responded to the call along with two units from Petrojam.

No one was injured in the fire.
