There are so many places to party these days, and Star of the Month Shema McGregor made every use of a few as she celebrated her birthday last Thursday night in fine style.

With two parties to attend in a couple of hours, the stage was set for a very exciting night, and Shema, along with brother Chino and Laden who recently signed to the Big Ship label, was not going to be denied an occasion to remember.

"This is my first time coming to Bembe and I'm really going to enjoy it," Shema told The Star.

Our first stop was at the weekly Bembe party, held at Weekenz, on Constant Spring Road. And with smiles all over her face, it was evident that the night was turning out to be a memorable one for her.

"Big up to the Big Ship family weh jus reach inna di place," Selector Richie Feelings announced on the mic when the crew walked in.

The party ended at two in the morning, and patrons could be found murmuring as they exited the venue after the police shut down the dance. They had just been enjoying the lyrics of Mavado, Kartel and several other top artistes.

But, Shema was determined to let nothing spoil her special night. The next stop was at Nico Bam Bam's birthday bash, held at the Asylum nightclub.

Lively performance

Before the cops came to shut it down, dancers brought life to Bembe as Shema partied on her birthday.

Again, the vibe was ecstatic and Shema, who was now at her peak, quickly held her spot inside the very chilly club. Not only was she recognised by onlookers, she was also looking splendid.

Chino made her night even more fun when he wished a very happy birthday to her during a lively performance that was well received by the patrons.

"I want to take this opportunity to big up my sister, Shema, 'cause you know it's her birthday, and her special night," he said after delivering lyrics from his song Chromatic.

Special it was, as Shema was seen drinking champagne from a finely-cut Italian glass and looking as if nothing could dent her lively spirit.

When asked if she was enjoying herself, right when the party picked up its pace with Beenie Man's Yuh Know Fi Wine andAidonia's Daggering creating a buzz, her answer came almost immediately.

"Yeah, oh my God it's good. I'm really enjoying myself."

It was also a special occasion for Nico Bam Bam and with a good turnout from popular personalities in the music business, a vibrant and energetic crowd, he too was enjoying the fun.

Laden's Time To Shine received the most forwards, he also sang some songs for the females, who responded well. Mr Easy, also eased his way into one of the top performances.
