Guzan, Altidore, Adu added to US squad

CHICAGO (AP)

Goalkeeper Brad Guzan, forward Jozy Altidore and midfielder Freddy Adu were added to the United States roster for tomorrow's World Cup qualifier against Guatemala.

With the United States already having qualified for next year's regional finals, coach Bob Bradley included just five Europe-based players on Sunday's 20-man roster. The others are goalkeeper Troy Perkins and defender Clarence Goodson, whose Norwegian clubs have finished their seasons.

No players were selected from Columbus or New York, which play in this weekend's MLS final.

Squad: Goalkeepers: Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Troy Perkins (Valerenga), Matt Pickens (no club)

Defenders: Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Sean Franklin (Los Angeles), Cory Gibbs (Colorado), Clarence Goodson (IK Start), Drew Moor (Dallas), Michael Parkhurst (New England)

Midfielders: Freddy Adu (Monaco), Ricardo Clark (Houston), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA), Pablo Mastroeni (Colorado), John Thorrington (Chicago)

Forwards: Jozy Altidore (Villarreal), Davy Arnaud (Kansas City), Conor Casey (Colorado), Brian Ching (Houston), Kenny Cooper (Dallas), Chris Rolfe (Chicago)
