Neither Angella Dennis nor her doctor was aware that she was carrying twins. It was not until she went to the Black River Hospital in St Elizabeth for her delivery that she discovered she would have two gorgeous boys.
"I did not know that I was having twins until the day I went to the hospital. I always visited my doctor but, he too was not aware," said Dennis.
She said the children's father, George Smith, was nervous when he heard the news, because he had another child on the way. Dennis said when her twin sons were born on August 11, 2000, his other woman was also pregnant, and gave birth to a girl six days after.
Dennis told THE STAR Life and Times that she is proud to be the mother of the two boys.
Justin was the first to be born and his mother said that he was more precocious than Jordan. Justin was head boy at the Burnt Savannah Early Childhood Institute in the community in which they live. Dennis adds that the boys love to read and they like playing football. Their favourite foods include rice and peas and chicken.
"Jordan is a more gentle and loving person than his brother. He is also more talkative, but the two are active alike," said Dennis.
The boys told The Star Life and Times that they love being twins as they can blame each other for things they do not wish to admit to. Although they fight a lot, the twins do not rat out each other when they are in trouble with their parents.
