THE EDITOR, Sir:
God created the universe and did something extremely wonderful, He gave mankind dominion over all the things of this world. No, He gave Man the authority to rule over the universe. He placed people first. Isn't this a superb lesson?
So then, whom do we put first? Why don't we make it our point of duty, our number one priority, to put people first?
Have we ever tried to put people first? It doesn't seems so at all. When are we going to start loving people, respecting people and put people first above all the other material things and idols? When are we going to say, 'enough is enough' and start showing love and respect to our fellow men and put them first? With what is happening nowadays, life seems valueless, meaningless and materially centralised. However, there is still hope for a change.
Animals, like the dogs, the lions, the cats, the rabbits etc., care more for each other in their species than we humans do our own.
When you get The Gleaner or The Star, whom do you think prepare them, print them so that we can get them to read? Do you think the animals do it? No, people prepared them and made them available to us.
We can't do without people. So why not lift them up high? But not above God!
