Puppy bites

Dear Pastor,

I am a 17-year-old who is talking to a 16-year-old. We have been talking for six months now and I love him so much and he loves me too. I have changed this guy in so many ways. We both want to be with each other in the future, but I am worried that we are not going to be together because we argue a lot. We carry a burden for each other and we don't want to talk about it.

What should we do because we are having a lot of problems and we both want to live together in the future?

M. T., St. Andrew, Jamaica

Dear M. T.,

First of all, you have not changed this young man. He is still a boy and he will say things to you that most young boys will say at his age. So get that out of your head that you have changed him. I hope you will understand that you are very young and when it comes to love, you have much to learn and so does your 16-years-old boyfriend. Both of you mean well. However, you shouldn't consider each other seriously because teenagers go through different stages of life and as they get older they develop interest in other persons.

So remain good friends and be respectful to each other.

Pastor
