The nude body of a 11-year-old boy was found with his head bashed yesterday at Banbury, Westmoreland.

He has been identified as Christopher Suckra of Blue Castle in the parish.

According to reports from the Constabulary Communication Network, the youngster's body was found in a canefield early yesterday morning.

It is reported that about 1 a.m., relatives and other residents went in search of Suckra when it was realised that he had not returned home from school.

During a search of a canefield his body was found and the police subsequently alerted.

Suckra, who is believed to have been molested, was reportedly last seen alive about 10 a.m. when he left home to attend school in Petersfield.

The Savanna-la-Mar police are investigating.
