Pregnant pause

Dear Pastor,

I am a 20-year-old woman who is pregnant with her second child. My babyfather is a good man and we live together. My problem is that I am working and I don't want to lose my job because I am pregnant.

I need your advice. Please help me to come to a conclusion. I don't know what to do.

K.J., St James, Jamaica

Dear K.J.,

Please keep your pregnancy. If you are having difficulties, seek the help of your church or family members. It is unfortunate that you did not plan for a second pregnancy, but much care should have been taken by you and your boyfriend after the birth of your first child. When people have unprotected sex, anything can happen. The child/children should not have to pay for the choices we make.

Pastor
