"Thank you mi Lord, thank you. God go with you, you hear, God bless you, you a good man," said Cooper when he heard of the decision to grant him bail.

Indecent assault

Cooper, who is charged with indecent assault, appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magis-trate's Court last Friday.

Allegations are that Cooper went to a shop operated by the 53-year-old complainant. The court was told that while in the shop, Cooper consumed copious amounts of beer and asked the complainant if he could borrow her bathroom.

Oral sex with her

It is alleged that when she let him inside her house to use the bathroom, he assaulted her. The court was also told that the complainant was standing at her bedroom door when he attacked her and pushed her onto the bed and tried to have oral sex with her.

When his matter came up for mention, Cooper pleaded for an early end to the matter. "Your Honour, mi a beg you fi one early mention date or some bail. Mi jus waan try the case and done, right now mi get shot up and mi haffi a wear pampers cause one shot still left inside of me. Mi tired a this, mi need fi tek care a miself cause them nah tek care a me inna the jail."
