Keneisha steps out for the Lord

GEORGE HENRY, Star Writer

Keneisha Allen proudly testifies before taking the bold step to be baptised - george henry

Keneisha Allen was among six candidates who proudly stepped forward and asked Bishop Barrington DaCosta, pastor for the Sanguinetti New Testament Church of God in Clarendon, to have them baptised for Jesus Christ, recently.

The serious-looking Keneisha in her testimony called for the packed congregation to praise the Lord three times. She then admitted that accepting God in her life was the best thing that she could have ever done.

She was very thankful to the Lord for saving not only her life, but her soul as well. She said if she wanted to go to Heaven, her soul had to be well with her God.

Thankful

"I am thanking the Lord for saving my soul. I thank Him for making me whole. And, I just want you to pray for me because I have purpose in my heart to serve Him to the end," testified Allen, to shouts of "amen" and "hallelujah" from the many witnesses on hand.

Bishop DaCosta told Keneisha and the other candidates that the step they had taken for Jesus Christ was the best one they could ever take.

"There is no other step that is better than this step. Stepping out for Jesus is the best step in your life. When you step out for Jesus everything is all right. You are not stepping out for any politician or anybody else.

And when I say everything is all right, I mean your soul is all right," noted the preacher.

He told Keneisha and the others that when they step out for Jesus, it did not mean there would be no hardships. He added that there will still be problems and frustration, but that it will be well with their souls.

DaCosta stated that when persons step out for the Lord their reward is sure, because Jesus will be giving every man his just reward when he comes back for His people.

He said every man will be rewarded whether they have done evil or good during their lifetime.
