BEDTIME STORIES

Dear Pastor,

I am 18 years old and have been dating the same guy for two years. My problem is, I had been living overseas for most of our relationship but recently decided to move back home to be with him.

But now it seems that he is unhappy that I am home. I have been hearing stories about him and other women, even about a friend of mine. I confronted him about it, he laughed, then told me he loved me. I find this hard to believe. I constantly tell him to let me know if he is seeing someone else, so I do not look stupid in public. He tells me to stop being insecure, but I know I am not.

Please tell me what to do, because I am seriously contemplating leaving him as I deserve better.

S.S.,

Dear S.S.,

If you returned just to be with your boyfriend and have found out that he has been playing around with other girls and is making light of it, pack your belongings, buy a ticket, and return home.

No intelligent man should ignore his girlfriend if she asks him about any matter she has heard of, especially if it relates to the stability of their relationship. This guy is very silly. I repeat, pack up and go.

Pastor
