DO YOU HAVE A PROBLEM? IS SOMETHING BOTHERING YOU? WRITE TO: TELL ME PASTOR, DR. AARON DUMAS, PO BOX 188, KING STREET, KINGSTON. TELEPHONE: 929-1667/8. EMAIL: PASTOR@JAMAICASTAR.COM

Dear Pastor,

I am a 16-year-old girl who has been with my best friend's brother for about a year now without her knowledge. I love him so much and would do anything for him. I became pregnant for him but lost the baby. He told me he loves me no matter what, but I would like my friend to know about us. If she finds out about us, I know she will behave a certain way that I know my boyfriend and I won't like.

Unprotected sex

My boyfriend and I have been having unprotected sex and I don't trust him very much when it comes to this. We are going to get checked out by doctors to ensure that we are both clean. I still can't get over losing my baby though.

I am now two months pregnant and I plan to keep my baby but he doesn't know about it. I need to tell him the truth before it gets too far, so that if he does not want the pregnancy I will know what to do. I also need to tell my friend about her brother and me.

Help me Pastor.

S.D.,

Dear S.D.,

First of all, you should tell this young man that you are pregnant. This is your second pregnancy. If you did not want to get pregnant, you should not have been having unprotected sex. What can his sister, your best friend, do? Do you mean that she would be upset that you got pregnant by him? If that is what you mean, then she would be quite in order.

It is sad that you have not learnt from your earlier mistake. You had unprotected sex and got pregnant. You lost the first pregnancy, yet you continued to have unprotected sex. A child is not a toy. You are already pregnant, so tell the young man what has happened and tell your friend and also your parents. I wish you well.
