Almost a year after two employees of ACS, an information communication technology (ICT) company, died during an accident on the Montpelier main road, St James, a preliminary enquiry date for the matter was set in the Montego Bay Resident Magistrate's Court.
Yesterday Donovan Wallace's $100,000 bail was extended until December 3 when evidence will be heard in the matter.
Wallace, 32, was reportedly driving the car on the night of the ill-fated crash that claimed the lives of his colleagues, Dean Morgan and Reginald McLean of Westmoreland. The ACS contact centre manager is charged with two counts of vehicular manslaughter.
Allegations are that on the night of December 6, Wallace was driving with his two co-workers when the car crashed into a utility pole. He was assisted from the vehicle by persons in the area. However, the car burst into flames with the two men inside.
There were no witnesses in the matter and, therefore, the prosecution will be relying on the accident reconstruction report as a major plank of its case.
