If you were one of those fans who missed the opportunity to chat with October's Star of the Month, Busy Signal last Thursday then you passed up an occasion to remember.
While most fans screamed and yelled through the phone lines at the sound of Busy Signal's voice, others used the occasion to give encouraging words to the Cool It Baby vocalist.
"Hello, is this Busy?" asked Kelly Ann, a student from Holy Childhood High School. "Busy me luv ow u a deal wid di ting ... ur not like the rest of the artistes dem, 'cause wen me hear ur song me get crazy," she said, her voice echoing through halls at the The Star.
Still, the call-in session, which lasted one hour at The Stardesk, gave supporters of Busy Signal the opportunity to interact with him on various issues. So, it came as no surprise when young Jodeen challenged the artiste with some very tough questions.
"Hi Busy, the first thing I want to know is ... if you are the prime minister for a year, what would you do for this country?" she quizzed. Busy quickly turned to members of his team, "This one [fan] serious," he whispered before answering.
"If I should be the prime minister for the year ... I would definitely provide more jobs for the youths, then build places for the street vendors 'cause they are a part of the system too," said Busy.
The excitement continued and more calls poured in every five seconds.
"Roache ... as me finish one call is another," Busy commented. Some even got the luxury of hearing him deejay over the phone.
"No, no, no ... Busy you know how long me a try reach you. You just live up to your name so, always busy. I just want to tell you to continue do what you are doing ... you are on top," said a fan from Arnett Gardens, Kingston.
