The St Andrew North police say they have held a suspect in the abduction and murder of pharmacist, Terri-Ann Thompson.
Crime chief for the division, Deputy Superintendent Altermoth 'Parro' Campbell, told THE STAR that the suspect was held some time last week in Half-Way Tree, St Andrew, and subsequently questioned.
"The suspect was positively identified and was held and questioned last week," he said.
DSP Campbell said the man admitted to detectives that at times he runs a robot taxi and operates on the Half-Way Tree to Price Rite route.
The identity of the man is being withheld as he is scheduled for further questioning.
DSP Campbell said the man was not formally charged as the police need more evidence.
Thompson, 27, was reportedly abducted and slain three weeks after she was last seen boarding a taxi in Half-Way Tree. Her partially burnt body was later found in bushes in Red Hills, St Andrew.
