Teen lives to smoke again

A 17-year-old student of the Denham Town High School was admonished and discharged when he appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court last Friday.

Charged with possession of ganja is Fabian Fowlin who was saved because his grandmother pleaded that he was a good boy at home. "Your honour, him don't give any trouble at home, I don't think you should send him to prison, he is not a bad child," the grandmother said..

Fowlin told the court that this was the second time he had ganja in his possession, but the ganja was not for him. "Your honour, a one likkle old man beg mi buy it fi him cuz him have asthma and I was taking it to the him when the police ketch mi, from that day mi nuh see back the man," he said.

Resident Magistrate Glen Brown advised the teen's grandmother to take him to church on Sunday and pray with him.
