A teenager from Dixon Wharf Lane in Hanover, was reportedly stabbed to death and her stepfather is on the run following an incident there on Tuesday.

Dead is Camille Coote, 17, while police have launched a manhunt for Dwayne 'Ricky' Green. Coote's mother, who is Green's common-law wife, and aunt were also injured during the incident, police say.

Constable Rohan Reid, Constabulary Communication Network liaison officer for Hanover, told THE STAR that about 11 p.m., Coote and Green were involved in an argument after the teen was accused of having a boyfriend.

During the argument, the police say, the teen was attacked and a screwdriver used to stab her in her abdomen and over her left eye.

Coote's mother and her aunt, who intervened in the fracas, were also stabbed, the mother, on her right hand while the aunt was stabbed in her head and chest.

Both were taken to hospital where the mother was treated and sent home while the aunt was transferred to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where she was admitted in serious condition.
