CHADMAN looks good for his third straight win and sixth in seven starts tomorrow afternoon when he goes to post for the 1200-metre None-Such Sprint under champion jockey Omar Walker.
With his only blemish being a loss to defending Superstakes champion MAJOR MAYER, at a mile in the July 5 Bob Mayall Trophy, American-bred CHADMAN, even at 60.5 kilos, looks hard to beat against a made-up field including his stablemates SKYWAY EXPRESS and PASSA PASSA.
The versatile gelding, who has won from five and a half-furlong to nine furlongs and 25 yards, carried 58.5 kilos to land the 1300-metre Eileen Cliggott Trophy, beating RAMPAGE and MUSICAL MAESTRO on September 3.
CHADMAN has been drilled by trainer Wayne DaCosta, 1:13.1 for six furlongs Monday morning, after galloping 1:06.0, for five and a half, last week Tuesday.
His stablemates are not expected to bother him and Richard Azan's RAMPAGE was no match in the Eileen Cliggott, despite getting within a half-length at the end. Not even the extra two kilos should bother CHADMAN as RAMPAGE only gained near the wire.
As for the others, MACHISMO has skipped Open Allowance and NASATOL is up in class on the round course where he is not as effective as he is at 1000 metres straight.
Walker looks set to have a bumper day, at least five winners - OUTSTANDING, LA'S DANCER, DON'T STAY NAKED, RED LION and CHIEF COUNCILLOR.
OUTSTANDING should make all in the opening event after her battling second against out-of-class SMOOTHABILITY at 1000 metres straight off an eight-month lay-up last week Wednesday.
Fit LA'S DANCER should go all the way at 1800 metres after closing sharply at 1000 metres straight two Saturdays ago following his loss, by a nose, to ISLA at 1400 metres.
Dangerous naked
A patched-up DON'T STAY NAKED is dangerous among $180,000 claimers at 1300 metres and down-in-class RED LION should use his pace to beat up-in-class BLUE MARLIN.
Anthony Ferguson's CHIEF COUNCILLOR ran willingly for third behind SOUND OF SILENCE at a mile last Saturday and shouldn't miss down-in-class in the ninth event.
A real cracker could be in store when the top two-year-olds clash in the 10th event for the Cash Pot Only One for Me Trophy.
The top contenders are all working well but the unbeaten filly, MISS RUTH, going for her third straight win from as many starts, caught the eye when clocking 1:06.0 for five and a half-furlong on Sunday morning.
In addition, she will be administered lasix for the first time, after clocking 1:06.1 when beating CALL OF THE WILD and WESTERN REPORT at 1100 metres on August 27.
Philip Feanny's BRUCEONTHELOOSE, who beat subsequent winner VONALMIGHTY by eight lengths on his September 27 debut, is being touted as the horse to beat.
However, the Feanny colt, who was imported in utero, has not worked anywhere near as good as MISS RUTH and should find her too classy up the lane.
