Boys' Town jumped to fourth spot with nine points in the Digicel Premier League yesterday following their 2-1 win against St Georges at Collie Smith Drive.

Denzil Watson's double strike in the 45th and 56th minutes set up the win for the Red Brigade after Damion Harwood had given St Georges a 43rd-minute lead. They remain in eighth position on four points.

The game was being replayed after the original fixture on October 5 was stopped in the second half due to heavy rain.

Boys' Town could have taken the lead as early as the third minute but Watson's header veered wide of goal.

St Georges Daniel Shaw went on the attack early and had two good looks at goal but his attempts were blocked by Boys' Town custodian Kirk Porter.

Just before half-time, Shaw fed an open Harwood for an easy shot strike in front of goal.

Two minutes later, Watson was fouled in the area by Ricardo Taylor, setting up his first goal from the penalty spot.

Watson was on target again eleven minutes into the second half when he toed the ball past Ralston Robinson after his initial shot was blocked by the goalie before bouncing right at his feet. Peter Keyes, who scored in Boys' Town's previous four games, was also a menace to the St Georges defenders.

"We were not in any trouble at any time and Watson and Keyes attacked them all day," Boys' Town coach Andrew Price said after the game.

He added: "We were flat in the first half - it took us a long time to settle. But then we started to move the ball better and attack down the flanks."

St Georges coach Geoffrey Maxwell said his team got unsettled after Boys' Town equalised.

"In the second half we were over-attacking and left the back open," said Maxwell. "What we should have done is control the game and be patient."
