A man who was shot dead last Friday after he reportedly attacked a police officer has been identified as the man behind the stabbing and robbery of talk-show host Dr Paulette McGregor almost a month ago.
Dr McGregor was robbed and stabbed several times in early September as she was about to leave a restaurant along Hope Road, St Andrew. She managed to get in her car and drive off, but collapsed shortly afterwards. She was hospitalised and underwent surgery.
The man is still unidentified, but THE STAR was told that he was positively identified by Dr McGregor yesterday.
The man was shot dead after he attempted to rob another female in Half-Way Tree last week. He was chased by a policeman after an alarm was raised, but he reportedly stabbed at the officer twice.
THE STAR was told that other robbery victims have been asked to view the man's body to see if he was their attacker.
